🐢 Supporting Marine Conservation: BISCOFF’s Hatchlings Make Their Way to the Sea

 2

Southern Latex Products Sdn. Bhd. (SLP) is delighted to celebrate a meaningful milestone in our ongoing commitment to environmental conservation and marine biodiversity.

Through our turtle adoption programme with SEATRU (Sea Turtle Research Unit), Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, SLP adopted BISCOFF, a Green Turtle under the Basic Adoption Programme. We are pleased to share that BISCOFF’s nest successfully hatched at Chagar Hutang Turtle Sanctuary, Pulau Redang.

The nest, Nest No. 291, was deposited on 23 May 2026 and hatched on 13 July 2026, resulting in 69 live Green Turtle hatchlings. These hatchlings have since made their way to the sea, continuing their natural journey and contributing to the future of marine biodiversity.

This initiative reflects SLP’s commitment to supporting marine conservation, biodiversity protection and responsible environmental stewardship. By supporting turtle conservation efforts, we hope to contribute to the protection of endangered marine species and the preservation of healthy marine ecosystems for future generations.

Our partnership with SEATRU and Chagar Hutang Turtle Sanctuary is part of SLP’s broader sustainability efforts to create positive environmental impact beyond our operations. It also supports United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 14 (Life Below Water), which calls for the conservation and sustainable use of oceans, seas and marine resources.

We are grateful to SEATRU and the conservation team at Chagar Hutang for their dedicated efforts in protecting Malaysia’s sea turtles. We are proud to play a small part in this important conservation journey and look forward to continuing our support for initiatives that protect our environment and marine life.

Every hatchling represents hope for our oceans. 🐢🌊
