🌱 Penang Green Council Forum 2026 | Advancing Sustainable Manufacturing

Southern Latex Products Sdn Bhd proudly participated in the Penang Green Council Forum 2026, held on 27 April 2026. The forum brought together key stakeholders from government, industry, and sustainability sectors to discuss practical pathways toward advancing green manufacturing and environmental responsibility in Penang.

The event was officiated with the presence of YAB Chow Kon Yeow (Cheif Minister of Penang), who delivered special remarks on the importance of accelerating sustainable industrial development through initiatives such as the Penang Green Industry Programme (PGIP). The forum also featured the official launch of PGIP, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing, and the announcement of initiatives related to climate mitigation .

A key highlight of the forum was the industry panel discussion, which provided valuable insights into sustainable manufacturing practices. Industry leaders shared practical approaches to improving resource efficiency, adopting environmentally responsible technologies, and aligning business operations with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. The discussions emphasized the importance of collaboration across sectors to achieve long-term sustainability goals.

In addition, the forum offered opportunities for networking and knowledge exchange among participants , fostering stronger partnerships and encouraging the sharing of best practices within the industry.
