Sustainability & Life Cycle Assessment Workshop conducted by Malaysian Rubber Council

As part of our ongoing commitment to strengthening environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices, Southern Latex Products Sdn. Bhd. actively participated in the recent Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Training Programme an important initiative aimed at enhancing industry capabilities in sustainability and environmental impact management. 🌱

The programme provided valuable exposure to life cycle thinking, enabling us to better understand the environmental footprint of our products across every stage from raw material sourcing and manufacturing processes to distribution, usage, and end-of-life disposal. This holistic perspective is critical as sustainability expectations continue to rise globally, especially within the rubber and manufacturing sectors. 📊

Throughout the one-and-a-half-day training, we gained practical insights into key methodologies for assessing carbon footprint, resource consumption, and emissions. These tools are essential in identifying opportunities to reduce environmental impact, improve operational efficiency, and align our processes with international sustainability standards. More importantly, the training emphasized how LCA can support data-driven decision-making, strengthen sustainability reporting, and contribute meaningfully to ESG-focused strategies.

Participating alongside representatives from various companies also highlighted a growing collective effort within the industry to adopt more responsible production practices. This shared commitment reinforces the importance of collaboration in addressing environmental challenges and driving long-term sustainable growth.
